Florida home education lives in F.S. 1002.41. FLDOE's parent page names three filings: a letter of intent with the district where you live, an annual evaluation to that district, and a letter of termination when the program is done. Written notice of intent is signed, names the children, and files with the superintendent within 30 days of starting. The portfolio is a contemporaneous log plus work samples, kept two years.
